Subcontract cleaning works best when the principal contractor and local provider have the same understanding of the site. A short message with an address and a price is not enough for a reliable commitment.
The work order should explain the customer, site, tasks, timing and reporting requirements before the subcontractor accepts the job.

- Task list, frequency and expected service time
- Start date and contract duration
- Access window, keys, alarms and induction requirements
- Chemicals, consumables and equipment responsibilities

- Photos, checklists or reporting expected after each service
- Process for variations, complaints and urgent requests
- Invoice format, approval process and payment terms
Safety and site conditions
The principal contractor should disclose known hazards and site rules. The subcontractor should review whether the work can be completed safely with the agreed equipment and time.

The agreed rate should match the real scope, travel, equipment and reporting burden. Payment terms, purchase orders, invoice contacts and approval steps should be written down. Variations should be approved before extra work is carried out where possible.
