A window cleaning quote depends on the amount of glass and the way it can be reached safely. Two properties with the same number of windows may require different equipment, time and preparation.
Clear photos are often more useful than a rough pane count, especially for multi-level buildings or unusual glass.

- Number and approximate size of windows
- Ground-floor or upper-level access
- Screens, tracks, frames and sills
- Sliding doors, partitions and internal glass

- Whether work is residential or commercial
Standard glass cleaning does not automatically include restoration of scratched, etched or permanently stained glass.
Safe access comes first

Prepare for the service
Move fragile items away from accessible internal windows and let the cleaner know about alarms, security screens, pets or restricted rooms. For businesses, identify the best service time and any areas where customers or staff may be present.
Ask for a written scope
The quote should say which sides of the glass are included and whether screens, tracks, frames or sills are part of the work. It should also identify inaccessible panes and any condition that may need separate treatment.
